Lake County History Center

RSSThe Lake County History Center is a 8-acre complex operated by the Lake County Historical Society. The Center is located next to Riverside High School at 415 Riverside Drive, Painesville TWP, 44077. Visitors are welcome to explore the galleries and exhibits in the historic home, visit the Jack E. Daniels Living History Village (under construction/relocation) and picnic areas. The Center hosts N.E. Ohio festivals and events, offers educational field trips, and primary document research facilities. The mission of the Lake County Historical Society is committed to ensuring through its collections,primary document library, programs, and community outreach, the preservation of Lake County historical records and cultural traditions and to promote interest in, and understanding of the individuals and issues which formed and continue to mold the history of Lake County, Ohio.

The Lake County History Center's 2009 Calendar of Events

Little Mountain Heritage Festival July 25-26 in Painesville Township.

Don't be left out! The Lake County History Center is accpeting reservations for our brand new dinner theatre presentation, "Vaudeville Lives! Mayhem on the Mountain!" We're also accepting reservations for the very popular Great Western Reserve Clambake, Myths Ledgends and Graveyard Tours, and the Christmas Bus Tour & Dinner.

Successful Spaghetti Dinner! Thank you!

The Lake County Historical Society expresses sincere gratitude to all those in our community who attended the Save the Village Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at Capelli's on Friday, May 22nd. Because of generous givers, over $2500 was raised for our Save the Jack Daniels Living History Village Fund!
